Phase One Impact (2018-2023)

During phase one of Reach Every Reader, through a cross-disciplinary approach, we supported families and their pre-K-aged children, advanced the field of literacy assessment, supported early elementary students with novel approaches to intervention, and improved teacher practice with new frameworks and professional development.

In phase one . . .

Reach Every Reader reached more than 58,000 children, 28,000 educators, and 7,000 parents and caregivers in 47 states through our publicly accessible resources and research studies.

Our pre-k apps and digital activities were downloaded or accessed by more than 45,000 unique users.

MORE curricular tools were adopted district-wide as a core component of the 1st and 3rd-grade curriculum in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools.

Literacy screening measures from The Interstellar Express were integrated into screening efforts state-wide in California, Florida, and South Carolina.

Educator-focused curricula from our Agile Teacher Lab were incorporated into courses at seven college and university teacher preparation programs across the United States.

Reach Every Reader’s work and research were presented at more than 50 conferences and in over 50 publications.
